An automated retractable system for outside-window laundry drying.
Raincheck is a robotic electromechanical solution that automatically retracts and extends a set of wet clothes in and out of one's window. It is designed to detect and respond to the onset of rain by bringing clothes back indoors into safety. Once the rain subsides, raincheck extends the laundry back out to continue drying. The interlocking chain links were developed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and real life prototype testing. Currently under development, it was a recipient of SGD 20,000 through the Singtel Future Makers social-impact startup program. (Article)
